Keynote Speech
“Psychotherapy Relationships and Responsiveness That Work”
Description
Clinical experience and controlled research consistently demonstrate that the therapy relationship and patient fit account for more outcome than the particular treatment method. This keynote will review the meta-analytic research and clinical practices compiled by an interdivisional American Psychological Assoc task force on (1) effective elements of the psychotherapy relationship and (2) effective transdiagnostic methods of personalizing therapy to the individual patient. Discover how research and practice converge in relational responsiveness that demonstrably improves treatment success.
