Artists from the Greek National Opera at the Opening of PCE 2024!
A little musical Mediterranean journey culminating in Greece
The musical event is performed by two distinguished members of the Greek National Opera, Tasos Apostolou as bass and Sofia Tamvakopoulou in piano.
Τasos Apostolou is also a person-centred therapist, trained at ICPS College and a member of The Panhellenic Association of Professionals in the Person-Centred & Experiential Approach (PAPCEA/PEEPVIP).
Modern Greek music is highly inluenced by French and Italian music and this journey is honouring the Mediterranean origins of the Greek music. The major Greek poet, O. Elytis (Nobel Prize) and two great Greek writers, N. Kazantzakis and I. Kambanellis have written the lyrics of the Greek songs while the two major Greek musicians, M. Chatzidakis and M. Thoedorakis have composed the music.
